Citizens Prerogative is a podcast for what’s in common, aiming to raise awareness of what is common among us as citizens. Taken together, the show’s episodes represent a clear vision of how our society can work together in order to achieve a more perfect union for us all. Civics and philosophy for self-rule
The hosts of the show aim to share their interest in civics. Also, the philosophy required of people if they want to be successful living under a system of self-rule such as ours. Considering that most of world history has only known authoritarian regimes, we have hope that people will continue to choose to support this experiment. An experiment in something else – something more democratic.
Systemic thinking
We cover systemic thinking to help orient people to their system and, as a result, their power to operate it. We offer ideas and present solutions to be considered. We provide calls to action for each of us and those of our representatives in power. We will discuss perspectives anchored in history. We will share what we know to be true and call out anything that is mere theory or propaganda.
The power of change for a new day
The arduous work of charting a new path to freedom for humans on this planet is also partly the focus of this podcast. Because if not our nation, then which? And if not now, then when? When we’re dead? That might be too late.
The time is already overdue for a political revolution for the dawning of a new day. The voices behind Citizens Prerogative are fully committed to ushering in a more perfect union.
